About Garments and Garment Fabrics
Nautilus-Fiberarts.com

I dye silk fabric for gallery and custom garments. I use mostly silk jacquards, organza, crepes or chiffons. I do have some silk and wool and silk linen blends as well. Most of the pictures are of fabrics and garments that are already completed and sold. The silks sell for $100 to $150/yd, depending on the complexity of the design.

A simple kimono jacket takes about two to two and a half yards.  If you see something you like, let me know and I can make something similar, or we can work together to achieve the color and pattern you need.

The gallery of wrap coats highlights this versatile and flattering garment. It takes two yards of fabric and the images are often laid out on the fabric so the image reverses at the shoulder for this one piece garment.  It has two seams, takes two hours to sew, and can be made to fit almost anybody with only two fitting details.  I have produced a pattern with sewing instructions for this garment (see Kits/Patterns).

When I have available completed garments or fabric for the wrap coats, I will include prices in the description.
